Grab a drink and a snack, because we are going to sit down and have a talk about Taraji P Henson. Nowadays she is well known for her roles in Think Like A Man, Empire and of course a girl boss approved movie: Hidden Figures. A year ago she made it as one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the annual Times 100 list. As you know, on Femme Channel, we aren't only interested in people's successes, but we would much rather hear how she made it to the top. She is one of the most successful women in the world who came from nothing and built an empire by herself ("Empire", see what I did there).

We went on a little research tour and this is what we found out about this boss babe!
Henson went to study electrical engineering and then made quite a switch to study drama. To afford this, she worked as a secretary at the Pentagon and singing-dancing waitress on a cruise ship. When she was pregnant in college, people said "This is the end for her". But this lady did not stop and went up there with her son on her side to collect her diploma. If this isn't inspiring, we don't know what is. After graduating she moved to Los Angeles with her son and just 700 bucks. People were telling her "You can't do this", so she had to fight for her dreams. And she did. Let this woman be an inspiration and keep achieving your goals.
