HOW TO BRING MORE POSITIVITY IN YOUR LIFE - 4 TIPS

By FC - March 04, 2018

Hi lovely readers,

In a world where we are defined by how many likes we get, and where our insta feeds are filled with fit girls, travel bloggers, fashion bloggers etc. It can be really hard to stay positive and to be happy with what you have and not bash all the things that you don't have. Let's be honest ladies, we all compare ourselves to an insta fit girl while eating a big piece of chocolate cake (by piece I mean the whole damn cake). In this "modern" world, it is hard to not compare yourself to "perfect" girls. We see them everywhere, magazines, television, youtube, insta etc. You can't escape them and you are not the only one who feels this way. I think we humans often forget that we have so much to be grateful for and only focus on the things that we don't have. Just waking up to another day is something we should all be thankful for, but a lot of us forget this sometimes (myself included). So here are a few ways to be more positive and to bring more positivity in your life.

1. Meditation
Try to meditate for at least 5 minutes a day. This is a great way to start off your day with some alone-time. Away from everyone else and your phone. Take this time to reflect on how you feel. Here are a few important benefits summed up:

  • It reduces your stress level
  • It increases happiness (YAS!)
  • It improves your concentration
2. Focus on the things you love
It is all about being positive and appreciating what you HAVE rather than focusing on what you DON'T have. Try to list three things you are thankful for everyday. You can do this in the morning or just before you go to bed. Even when you have a day where things don't quite go as planned, this can be a great way to still end the day on a positive note.

3. Try to wake up a bit earlier
I try to wake up a bit earlier everyday so I can take some time for myself and do the things I love to do. You don't have to set your alarm every morning at 5am. Let's be honest, we are just gonna click the snooze button anyway. Instead, if you are used to waking up at 7am try to set your alarm just 15 minutes earlier for a week. The second week you can do this again and eventually your body and mind will get used to waking up earlier. It is all about taking small steps.

4. Make time for the things you love
We are all so busy with work and/or school stuff that we often forget to make time for the things you love to do. This can be hanging out with friends or pursuing some hobby you have put aside for quite a while. Life is short and it would be such a shame if you didn't get to do the things that matter to you.
